HR Masterclass (Online course)

Managing Human Resources in general practice can be an absolute minefield, and judging by the posts we’ve seen on the forums, we realise a new HR-related conundrum can appear every day!

Robyn Jackson, forum HR guru, has teamed up with the Practice Index team to bring you an HR Masterclass designed to boost your knowledge of everyday HR issues and how to manage them in the world of primary care.

The series covers the following 12 topics*:

  1. The recruitment process
  2. Performance management
  3. Appraisals and objective setting
  4. The disciplinary process
  5. Handling grievances
  6. How to manage bullying and harassment claims
  7. Absence management
  8. Staff engagement
  9. Managing leave
  10. Flexible working requests
  11. Changing terms and conditions of employment
  12. Retirement

The Masterclass aims to cover every HR aspect of the employee life cycle and has been designed with practice managers in mind, with examples and scenarios that we see only too often within primary care.

Each module includes information and links to policies and procedures, interactive exercises, real-life scenarios, videos and voice-overs from Robyn herself, and a quiz at the end. All are accredited with a certificate, provided on completion.

The HR Masterclass is an online course delivered in the HUB. For existing masterclass subscribers, this is available in your course list. If you would like further information, to register your interest in signing up, click here.

*Module 1 is available from Thursday 7th May 2020. Modules 2 to 12 will be released monthly, making learning much more manageable.
