Social media planning

Consistent, quality communication across your social media channels is vital for helping maintain a positive reputation for your practice. It’s becoming more common for people to leave negative posts on your social media feeds, alongside rants on posts, and derogatory reviews. One of the key ways to combat these, and limit the damage they cause to your reputation, is to bury them in a stream of regular positive, well-structured content that is engaging for your audience.

Setting aside a couple of hours once a month to plan out and schedule the information you need to create a communications plan for the month ahead will not only save you time day to day but will ensure you feature relevant, interesting content that allows your audience to feel part of your practice community.

This handy social media planner [PLUS] allows you to set out the topics you want to feature over the months ahead (our free Practice Index Ultimate Social Media Planner is a great tool for inspiration) and a place to make notes of what you want to include. The overview is ideal for setting out the main focus, and the key themes, such as the example below.

Once you have your themes, then you can plan out the day to day content. You can create your own, or to save time, you can simply copy and paste from the Marketing Alerts [PLUS].  All great social media posts have a call to action (in other words – something you want your reader to do!) such as a booking link to the flu clinic, or the website of a charity you’re wanting people to visit.

To make your post engaging (and to beat the algorithms), it’s really important to add an image – why not try making your own with a site like Canva?

With the day to day planner, you can add all the information you want to share in your post so you’re not trawling the internet at the last minute.
