Join us at the Primary Care Show!

It’s just two weeks until the Primary Care Show at the NEC in Birmingham, where, in conjunction with the IGPM, we’re hosting an incredible stream of sessions tailored specifically for primary care managers.

On day one of the show (Wednesday 15th May), we’d love you to join us in the Business and Management stream, chaired by Kay Keane (Director of the IGPM and Practice Manager at Urban Village Medical Practice) for the following sessions:

The new GP contract – What You Need to Know

What do the changes in the GP contract mean to you and your practice? We’ll discuss the upcoming changes, the potential impact, and any funding.

Speaker: Robyn Clark (Managing Partner, South Gloucestershire and Director of the IGPM)

Continuity – The Benefits for Patients and Practices

We’ll look at the benefits of personal lists and patient continuity from a clinical and management perspective – and dispel some of the common myths, as well as answer all of your questions.

Speaker: Katey Warren (Associate GP at Horfield Health Centre) and Peter Maynard (Executive Partner, Horfield Health Centre and National Lead, IGPM)

Personally Administered Items – The Thousands in Missed Income

Missing income from claims for Personally Administered Items (also known as PPA claims) can have a significant impact on practice finances. If you’re interested to learn how you can easily increase your practice income, this session will help you to
hit the ground running.

Speaker: Claire Houston (PM Support Manager at Practice Index)

Improving Profitability in Your Practice – How to Navigate the Difficult Aspects of Income and Expenditure

Increasing the gap between income and expenditure gives you greater choice about how and where you spend your money. Whether you’re looking to increase investment or drive staff recruitment, this session provides you with some useful points to consider.

Speaker: Claire Houston (PM Support Manager at Practice Index)

HR Clinic Live

Following on from the popular monthly Practice Index HR Clinics, this unique live session will explore the latest HR hot topics. In addition to employment law updates and HR news, there will be an opportunity to ask any burning questions you have on navigating personnel challenges in practice.

Speakers: Robyn Clark (Managing Partner, South Gloucestershire and Director of the IGPM) and Claire Houston (PM Support Manager at Practice Index).

Managing Online Negativity

Following the pandemic, there has been an exponential rise in online abuse targeted at practices via both social media and review sites. This session will cover how to manage your online reputation and effectively deal with negativity. You’ll gain an understanding of why people might post negative reviews for your practice online, and how to address these, along with different ways to positively influence your online presence.

Speaker: Alison Daff (Communications Manager at Practice Index)
