IGPM Summer Series

Do you ever wish you had the opportunity to hear primary care leaders talking about the subjects that matter to GP practice managers and ask them your burning questions? The Institute of General Practice Management (IGPM) is hosting a series of webinars, speaking to some of the key names in primary care. These free webinars are your chance to have your questions answered.

Session One – IGPM update and PM Wellness – Tuesday 10th August 2021 at 12.30pm

The first in the series will start with an update from IGPM directors Kay, Nicola, Robyn and Jo, who will be sharing their recent achievements, as well as what the IGPM will be working on as we head into autumn. This will be followed by Richard House from the Action Potential Group who will deliver a short session on PM wellness.

If you have any questions for the IGPM directors or Richard, please post them here or on our Facebook or Twitter pages.  Book your place here.

Session Two – Creative disruption: top secrets to powering up your practice through social prescribing in COVID-19 recovery – Tuesday 17th August 2021 at 12.30pm

The National Association of Link Workers’ CEO Christiana Melam will explore how practice managers and social prescribing link workers can work together to increase capacity and improve health outcomes for their patients in COVID-19 recovery.

If you have any questions for Christiana, we will post a request for your input on our social media feeds in the week prior to the webinar, or you can post on this thread on Practice Index. You can sign up here for this session.

Session Three – Vicki Wells from the CQC – Tuesday 24th August 2021 at 12.30pm

Vicki Wells, Deputy Chief Inspector from the Care Quality Commission, will join the IGPM to provide an update on the new CQC process and to take your questions. If there’s anything about the CQC that you’ve been wanting to find out about but haven’t been able to, this is your opportunity.

If you’d like to ask Vicki a question, you can post it in this thread on Practice Index prior to the session or we will open our social media page for questions in the week prior to the webinar. To join the session, sign up here.

Session Four – PCSE – Tuesday 31st August 2021 at 12.30pm

Due to overwhelming demand from members, the IGPM invited colleagues from PCSE to join them to take your questions. Whether you’d like to challenge the locum payments system, or you have questions on the pension administration process, the IGPM directors will find out for you.

Questions can be submitted here at any time or on our social media in the week prior to the webinar – keep an eye on the IGPM social media channels for more information. Sign up for this webinar here.

Session Five – Dr Krishna Kasarani from the BMA – Thursday 16th September 2021 at 12.30pm

In the final webinar, we’ll be joined by Dr Krishna Kasaraneni from the British Medical Association. Krishna is a member of GPC England, the representative body for GPs in England, and will be taking your questions. You can submit your question here at any time or during the week prior to the webinar via our social media channels. Sign up for this webinar here.

The webinar series is free of charge to all practice managers thanks to the generosity of the speakers who have voluntarily given their time and the ongoing support of the IGPM members. Growing the membership base allows the IGPM to deliver more support for you as a PM, so if you haven’t already joined, please consider signing up as a member prior to the Summer Series.

You can follow the IGPM and submit questions for the Summer Series on Facebook and Twitter.
