Day One Cover

In the event of a valid claim, once a member has been absent for over the excess period stated on the schedule the policy will backdate the claim to day one to help negate the costs to the practice.

Sickness/ Accident Cover

In the event of a key employee being unable to work due to sickness or an accident, the policy will provide a weekly benefit on the schedule to cover the absence, with stress and depression included as standard.

Free Practice Manager Cover

£300 per week (excess applies)

Compassionate Leave

In the event of Compassionate Leave the policy provides a weekly benefit on the schedule to cover the costs of absence of an employee who is affected by the death or life-threatening illness of a close family member for up to 4 weeks with no excess period and no age restriction of the family member in the event of death.

Jury Service

In the event of a key employee being called for jury service, the policy will pay the weekly benefit on the schedule for up to 52 weeks with no excess period to help minimise disruption to the practice.

Linked Claims

If another claim is made within 13 weeks of the end of the original claim for the same member we will waive the excess period and continue the claim for the remaining weeks left for a total of 52 weeks.                 

Maternity Benefit

To help you to support and retain key employees, maternity benefit will provide a £5,000 lump sum that will be paid upon return to work within 12 months of giving birth.

Paternity/Adoption Leave

In the event of Paternity or Adoption Leave the policy will pay the weekly benefit on the schedule for up to 4 weeks with no excess period.                    

Suspension

Paid for up to 52 weeks, the policy will cover the direct costs of covering a suspended member of staff, including any additional overheads that your practice may incur, such as an increase in internal workloads or the hiring of a locum GP

Travel Delay

If a key member of your team has their travel delayed, this insurance will pay the weekly benefit on the schedule for up to 4 weeks with a 24 hr excess to cover their absence, whether this is internal staff increasing their workloads of the hiring of a locum.
