Domestic Abuse Awareness

This session is designed to equip delegates with an awareness of domestic abuse, and their responsibilities in the wake of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021. Delegates will gain an awareness of the prevalence and nature of domestic abuse as well as how to question individuals and respond to disclosures safely.

• Understand what domestic abuse is and how to recognise it
• Learn how domestic abuse impacts victims and their families
• Understand the importance of responding to concerns
• Gain an overview of the multi-agency response to domestic abuse
