Overview

This short course is designed for all staff working in general practice and explains the significance of being able to recognise the signs of sepsis and the correct actions to be taken in order to enhance patient safety.

Objectives

1. Understand what sepsis is
2. Learn to recognise the signs of sepsis
3. Know what to do to ensure patients are offered the most appropriate level of care
4. Recognise which patient cohorts are most at risk of sepsis
