Preventing Radicalisation - Basic Prevent Awareness

Overview

This course provides learners with an appreciation of what radicalisation is and how to recognise signs of radicalisation. It also covers the actions to be taken if it is believed someone has been radicalised or may act violently or commit an act of terrorism.

This mandatory training course has been aligned to the Skills for Health Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF)

Objectives

1. Gain an understanding of the legislation associated with preventing radicalisation
2. Understand what is meant by the terms Contest, Prevent and Channel
3. Know how to recognise the warning signs of radicalisation
4. Appreciate what makes vulnerable people open to becoming radicalised
5. Learn the correct actions to take should you suspect that someone is becoming radicalised
