Accident and Incident Reporting

Overview

This course outlines the Health and Safety Executive’s requirements to report accidents and incidents in the workplace. The course explains what needs to be reported in accordance with the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) 2013 as well as explaining individuals’ responsibilities and actions.

Objectives

1. Understand the legislation associated with H&S
2. Appreciate the requirement to report accidents and incidents in the workplace
3. Learn what types of incident or accident need to be reported
4. Understand when a report is not required
5. Gain an understanding of your responsibilities in relation to RIDDOR
