Once again I feel compelled to make comment on the first class service that we are receiving from GenPra. Increasingly we are turning to our Practice website, not only to inform patients of change and direction, but increasingly as part of our daily operation. We are c.12,500 list list size and are facing increasing challenges with GP and clinician availability - and so we have to work smarter. We tried eConsult and it did not work for us - we were completely overwhelmed, and felt that the underpinning logic was a barrier to patients who invariably ended up phoning the Practice - something that we were desperately trying avoid. I approached Genpra with a stripped-down and deconstructed approach to the eConsult concept - and my did they deliver! Outstanding communication, total understanding, and quick to blend our requirements into a workable solution. We called it Clinical Triage, and our website is there for all to see. We have had more positive responses, in the first 5 days of its inception, from our patients than ever before - but the overwhelming reduction in stress from our administrative staff is simply staggering! We have went from telling patients that there are no appointments (and the inevitable challenges that that brings) to offering to help process their requirements. We upload the PDF to Docman, and the clinician has the information to hand. Our staff have never felt so relieved and are citing that they don't want to go back to the old ways - and it's only Day 5!
