Calling all Practice Managers with a desire for career progression

Lakeside Healthcare has an opportunity for an established Practice Manager to join us at Headlands Surgery in Kettering, Northamptonshire. The current practice manager is retiring after many years of service and her replacement is offered with a view to progressing to management of the Kettering & Rushden Hub (practice home).

We can offer you a stimulating career within our growing ‘super-partnership’ supported by a group of peers from across our estate. The role involves a mixture of Kettering site-related practice management together with the opportunity, in time and subject to satisfactory progress, to fulfil a more supervisory role across the Hub with the help of our Rushden practice manager. There is also the opportunity to take on a more specialised responsibility across the entire partnership if desired. We currently serve a total population of almost 160,000 patients across fifteen sites and have ambitious plans to expand even further. Headlands Surgery in Kettering is one such site with 10,500 registered patients, with Rushden Medical Centre serving 11,000 patients. Each site retains its own registered list, with all sites working under the same partnership business model.

You must have strong leadership & communication skills at all levels and the ability to cope with multiple tasks. Some functions such as Finance and HR have been centralised across the wider partnership and we are working upon clinical and administrative standardisation to improve efficiency.

We believe that the future of general practice is based upon a large partnership model with shared management and back office functions. We seek like-minded individuals to join us on our journey. Who knows where it might take us!

Closing Date: 22nd January 2018
