PCN Strategic Business Manager

This is an opportunity to make a new role your own and be part of an evolving organisation as it adapts and changes to develop a primary and community, integrated care model for the Blandford located rural communities. Interviews will be held on the 6th July 2021.

The successful applicant will drive forward a wide range of emerging strategic and operational changes that impact on the work of both The Blandford Group Practice and local community health provider organisation (Dorset HealthCare Trust) keeping Blandford PCN at the forefront of integrated working in Dorset.

The PCN Strategic Business Manager will form an integral part of the PCN leadership team working alongside the PCN Clinical Director, Dorset HealthCare (DHC) Head of Community Services and the other PCN board members. This will require working with a variety of PCN stakeholders to translate national and local policy into meaningful changes and will support local services to achieve improved outcomes for the local population.

The role will also require management of a planned estate project, which looks to establish and evolve a two site hub model to deliver services from.

The post holder will be expected to respond flexibly and proactively to a wide and changing set of demands as the needs of an integrated team develops. They will be dealing with high levels of complexity, will need to be able to negotiate on behalf of the PCN, and be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have:

• Extensive experience of working as a senior manager and have excellent business management skills
• Knowledge of primary and community care, and PCN development
• Experience of strategic development and implementation
• A proven track record in leading innovation and implementing change across complex organisational structures
