Due to the retirement of our existing Business Manager we are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Business Manager to lead our well established and respected practice.

About us:

Situated to the south east of Derby with our practice area covering into South Derbyshire, you will be involved in providing a first class service for patients across a varied and developing practice area. The practice has a list size of 10,800 patients and we are a teaching practice. We have 4 partners and 3 salaried GPs with 2 ANPs, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, Practice Nurses and HCAs. Our administrative team comprises a Practice Operations Manager, Reception Managers, IT/Admin Lead and a full team of administrators, secretaries and receptionists.

We achieved good in our CQC inspection in January 2020 and are high QOF achievers. We work closely with our PCN and have successfully introduced a number of initiatives to help our patients.

Main duties of the job:

  • Working collaboratively with the Partnership on strategic planning and practice development.
  • All aspects of finance including budgets and payroll
  • Working collaboratively with the local Primary care Network and take an active role in shaping the way forward.
  • Proving guidance to the Practice Operations Manager on HR, Health and Safety and Premises Management
  • Managing change effectively, promoting the benefits where necessary.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have extensive business management experience.
  • Have experience in HR, team leadership, premises management and Health and Safety.
  • Have strong experience in finance, including working with budgets and payroll.
  • Have excellent communication skills and an ability to work with a wide range of individuals, groups and organisations.
  • Be self-motivated, flexible and extremely organised.
  • Manage change effectively, promoting the benefits where necessary.
