X-on recognised the need for phone technology to address the very distinct challenges that surgeries face, so we launched Surgery Connect in 2007 and have been improving it ever since. Our long history in supplying hosted call centre technology gave us comprehensive experience in the features needed to manage high peaks in call traffic, and with maximum efficiency. Practice managers receive the information needed to measure and assess call handling performance, so patients enjoy the best possible call experience.
Surgery Connect is both a phone system and a ‘hosted call centre’, yet because it uses the latest cloud technology, it is neither difficult to use, nor does it come at a premium price. Unlimited lines and free UK calls are standard. Our customers are finding that Surgery Connect is generating substantial savings over their previous standard phone system.
Surgery Connect is a complete system and includes all the features that the practice needs, integrated as a whole and centrally managed, and for a fixed per-extension price. Features include network call queuing, secure call recording, integration with clinical and PA systems, reporting software, staff management, on-call mobiles. Many of these can be introduced in stages.
And there are some advanced functions, including the ability for the patient to book a telephone triage call back from the call queue, which no standard phone system will provide. The latest analytical techniques are used to improve efficiency in call handling. Proactive patient contact by phone call and SMS can be managed from Surgery Connect.
Federated Practices can benefit from the economies of scale while utilising a centralised flexible phone system that allows GPs to log in to any fixed or mobile phone, wherever they happen to be.
Backed up by a responsive and dedicated support team, Surgery Connect is now the standard for handling communications from the small practice to the growing number of federated and multi-site practices.
