    Course description:
    The training will start with a discussion relating to Mental Health issues and how raising awareness helps everyone in both the workplace and externally with the latter including patients/visitors/colleagues/general public.

    Delegates can expect to improve their understanding of mental health problems by gaining an insight to the various types of mental health and distress.

    The course will then continue to be led by the Facilitator and will be a mixture of discussions; action planning; and role play where applicable.

    • Identify and recognise the often-hidden signs of mental health problems
    • Improve understanding of the myriad of mental health issues
    • Develop skills to effectively manage and support your team/colleagues
    • Recognise red-flag symptoms that require immediate attention

    • Active listening
    • Know when to refer
    • Know where to signpost
    • Understand the need for self-care
    Who should attend:
    This course is suitable for all employees, particularly those in ‘patient facing’ roles as well as Care Navigators. It is also recognised as value added for Practice Managers given the often-stressful nature of their jobs.

    Course outline for the day:
    The course can take place either morning or afternoon at a start and finish time suits your delegates. A certificate of competence in Mental Health Awareness is issued to attending delegates following completion.

    Price:
    Half day: £695 + VAT
    For up to 15 people. You may wish to join up with other neighbouring practices to share the cost of the training.
