    Course description
    In the UK organisations must appoint people, often known as Fire Wardens or Fire Marshals to have a more active involvement in fire safety such as taking appropriate measures for fire-fighting in the premises, arranging any necessary contacts with external emergency services and assisting with evacuation. This training course will give you a better understanding of how to prevent fire, provide information of what to do in the event of fire and outline your responsibilities as a fire warden.

    Gain the ability to:
    • Describe the basic principles of risk assessment
    • Describe the principles of "Means of Escape"
    • Describe the correct process for carrying out effective fire drills and evacuation
    • Describe the duties of the Fire Warden
    • Demonstrate workplace fire safety
    • Effectively report hazards and deficiencies
    • Show an understanding of how to use firefighting equipment correctly
    Course outline
    The health and safety trainer will make a presentation to inform you about being a fire warden. There will also be a practical element and Q&A part to aid understanding. Each delegate will receive a certificate.
