Medical Messenger

Designed and developed alongside our partners EMIS, Vision, Sangix and SystmOne, Medical Messenger from Voice Connect allows medical practices throughout the UK to effectively and efficiently communicate with patients, while reducing calls into reception at peak times.

Our Medical Messenger software has a range of features that sets it apart from other software on the market. Our system offers least cost routing, simple remote set up, and can automatically write back to patient records. It also has no cost per patient and set up with a single annual fee.

As long-term partners with all UK primary clinical database partners, Voice Connect have been supplying the NHS since 1991. From individual practices to full Trust, PCN and ICS deployments, we supply services across the whole of the NHS.

The system can even be used to perform patient surveys. Surveys can be created and sent via text or call in just a few minutes. Patients can also be invited to leave feedback after booking their appointment through Patient Partner. Repeat Prescription Software

Reduce the pressure on your medical practice while improving patients’ access to your services, with automated repeat prescription software from Voice Connect, helping support medical practices across the UK since 1991.

Our repeat prescription service enables your patients to dial into the practice 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing an easy to use platform to order repeat prescriptions without the need to contact reception.

Ordering prescriptions couldn’t be easier. The patient dials into the practice (or a separate number, if you prefer) and selects the “repeat prescription” option. After logging in using a unique PIN number, the patient will hear a menu offering their available prescriptions. Once they have selected their required prescription, the service processes the request then adds it as a task in the clinical database.

If the patient requires a consultation before requesting a prescription, they can book an appointment directly through our automated system, if the practice uses Patient Partner. Finally, a GP or clinician must sign off on the task as they would with all repeat requests.

Patient Partner has saved the Practice time by freeing up reception staff to undertake other duties, thereby enhancing patient care. The excellent reporting facility gives valuable information about when and how many calls are made, which allows our Practice to realign its staffing structure to deal with patient demand.

We did originally think uptake would be slow - this has not been the case - within 3 months 75% of available on the day, and book ahead, appointments were being booked through Patient Partner.

Patient Partner has helped to ease call pressure in the mornings and has made it easier for our patients to contact us. This means that it releases receptionists’ time to work on other important tasks within the practice. Since we have been using Patient Partner, the number of calls coming in to reception has significantly reduced. We hope to continue this trend as patients become more aware of the system. It also has the added benefit of enabling patients to cancel appointments at the weekend so we are aware first thing on Monday morning of any appointments that have become available over the weekend.
